like when they build a new fast food restaurant: no sooner is the framing complete than you know what it is by the shape of the building. Fuckin' A! Dairy Queen!
i do think public sculpture that makes no sense is underrated.
I believe that sign was a TEXACO. . .(funny enough, the corp that my dad gave his life to)
yeah, I like the idea of making big public sculpture of empty commercial signs!
I'll post some more that I have. . .
the one I see most often is the hardies sign
it's a rectangle with an empty star at the end.
